The client is keen to develop and aggressively grow its Home Textiles business by leveraging its strength & market opportunities.​ It wants to assess the opportunity & formulate a strategy for growth using the BSC framework​ & Cedar’s assistance.

Cedar’s Approach

The primary objective was to conduct market and​ competitive assessment for the Home Textiles business & develop an accelerated growth strategy using the BSC framework.

  • An internal assessment was conducted to review the client’s internal data & therefore amalgamate the knowledge base, employing Cedar’s market experience
  • Further, an external assessment was conducted to review all available market reports/ secondary information available with its databases
  • 15-20 primary interviews were conducted with industry experts, potential customers & competitors
  • A thorough analysis of the inputs was made post a meticulous assessment process, based on which a final presentation was given to the client

Outcome

  • A detailed market assessment of the relevant sectors in which the client wanted to enter, was conducted. This involved a country review, macroeconomic overview, profiling of overall sectors & detailed profiling & segmentation of the targeted sectors
  • A competitive assessment for the client entailed, where Cedar deep dived into overall profile of the competitive environment, followed by competitors’ market share, product & consumer profile, key financials & ratio and SWOT analysis.
  • Finally, to complement the above two, a growth strategy was formulated which helped the client with overall strategic direction & positioning, recommendation for the focus on its key segments in Europe, process frameworks & outsourcing strategy
  • Financial projections for the next 3 years were also devised for the client along with a detailed implementation plan & a way forward vision, charted out by Cedar
