Cedar’s Social Impact

Social upliftment and community development have always held inspiration for Cedar. We at Cedar believe that, along with helping our clients succeed, we also need to play a major role in making our society a better place. In keeping with this ideology, Cedar has partnered with EmpowHER India, to launch several programs that provide the local communities with economic opportunities and social justice through better hygiene, sanitation and education.

EmpowHER India, a leading NGO in the Panvel region of Maharashtra, was founded in 1993 with a vision to provide basic amenities in the areas of education, enterprise, health and infrastructure and to provide villagers a helping hand in raising their quality of life. Over the last two decades, EmpowHER India has initiated and established a strong movement to bring women together to lead social transformation in the villages of Maharashtra. Starting with the creation of Women’s Self-Help Groups in 2005, EmpowHER has now established over 300 Self Help Groups across 65 villages with an overarching Federation body, impacting over 3000 women in the region.

Cedar, through this partnership, hopes to inspire its employees and clients to do their part to improve the society. Our goal is to encourage every individual within the Cedar ecosystem to lend a hand in our endeavor to better our community. Every small step matters!

We invite our clients and partners to join us in this initiative, and bring smiles to the faces of the ones in need. For further information regarding Cedar’s community development activities, kindly visit EmpowHER India
